BLOOMBOX BY SPROUT!

In a class made up of six different majors, we were divided up into groups and challenged with creating a company, brand, and real working product that would be presented to our class and judges.

My team created BloomBox, a device that makes putting your phone away fun. Kids place their devices inside to charge and earn points as flowers grow on top. Through the connected app, families can track screen time, add chores for bonus time, and set rewards for unplugging.

THE PROCESS

In my ideation process, I aimed to create a brand identity that feels kid-friendly, playful, and engaging, while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. Although the product exists within a tech space, the brand emphasizes child growth beyond screens.

Nature-inspired design elements helped create an approachable feel, reinforcing creativity, curiosity, and real-world connection.

CONCLUSION

Overall, this project was a huge step in my graphic design journey. I learned the importance of teamwork and collaboration while also gaining a deeper understanding of what it truly means to give a brand an identity. Watching this semester-long project come to life was a very impactful experience.
